Little Chess Champs Pvt. Ltd. is proud to announce the successful implementation of the Cognitive Skill Development Through Chess programme in Government Schools across Tirupattur District, under the Namma School Namma Ooru Palli (NSNOP) – School Engagement Programme, with the approval of the Tamil Nadu School Education Department.

The programme is implemented through the Chess in Tamil digital learning platform, enabling Government School students to learn chess in their mother tongue while strengthening cognitive abilities, logical reasoning, and essential life skills.

This pilot implementation marks an important milestone in our commitment to making quality chess education accessible to Government School students across Tamil Nadu.

Cognitive Skill Development Through Chess

Chess is much more than a game—it is a powerful educational tool that develops cognitive and analytical skills from an early age.

Through structured digital learning, students develop:

  • Critical Thinking

  • Problem Solving

  • Strategic Planning

  • Decision Making

  • Logical Reasoning

  • Memory Development

  • Focus and Concentration

  • Analytical Thinking

These skills support students not only in chess but also in their academic learning and everyday decision-making.

Chess in Tamil – Learning in the Student's Mother Tongue

The programme is delivered through the Chess in Tamil digital learning platform, making structured chess education accessible in the student's mother tongue.

Learning in Tamil helps students understand concepts more effectively, improves classroom participation, and builds confidence while learning.

The platform provides interactive lessons, guided learning pathways, assessments, and practice activities designed specifically for systematic chess education.

Individual Student Learning Access

Every participating student receives an individual digital learning account with a unique username and password.

This allows students to:

  • Learn anytime and anywhere

  • Continue learning beyond classroom sessions

  • Progress at their own pace

  • Complete interactive lessons and assessments

  • Track their learning journey

By providing every student with individual access, the programme encourages self-learning while enabling teachers to monitor each student's progress throughout the implementation.

School Dashboard for Progress Monitoring

Each participating Government School receives its own School Dashboard, allowing teachers and school administrators to monitor student learning efficiently.

The dashboard provides real-time information on:

  • Student learning progress

  • Lesson completion

  • Assessment performance

  • Student engagement

  • Overall implementation status

This enables teachers to identify students who require additional guidance and ensure continuous learning support.

Tirupattur District Monitoring Dashboard

To strengthen programme implementation, a dedicated Tirupattur District Dashboard is also available.

The district dashboard enables the implementation team to monitor the progress of all participating schools from a single platform.

This ensures:

  • Transparent implementation

  • Effective monitoring

  • School-wise progress tracking

  • Timely academic support

  • Better programme management

Digital monitoring helps maintain consistency and quality throughout the implementation process.

Training for Physical Education Teachers

Successful implementation begins with empowered teachers.

Physical Education (P.E.) Teachers from the participating Government Schools received practical orientation and training on the Chess in Tamil platform.

The training included:

  • Student account management

  • School Dashboard usage

  • Monitoring student progress

  • Conducting structured chess learning sessions

  • Supporting students throughout the programme

  • Understanding implementation and reporting procedures

Teacher empowerment plays a vital role in ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of the programme.

Continuous School Implementation Support

Little Chess Champs will continue to work closely with participating schools through regular implementation visits.

These visits include:

  • Monitoring programme implementation

  • Supporting teachers

  • Reviewing student progress

  • Addressing implementation challenges

  • Encouraging active participation

  • Providing continuous academic guidance

Regular interaction with schools ensures that students receive the maximum benefit from the programme.

The programme includes:

  • Individual student learning access

  • Structured digital curriculum

  • School Dashboard

  • Tirupattur District Dashboard
